I recently purchased the game Shattered Horizon, and I felt I needed to express my love and hate for this game!

So first off we have the menu

I believe the video playing in the background is a looping pre-rendered video, seeing as I run it at 90-100 fps, while I run the game itself at 30 fps.

Next, we have the server browser;

Now on to the real stuff. The game itself is based in space, and you are a soilder in a war between the ISA (good guys) and the MMC (bad guys who blow up the moon).
This has to be one of the first games I’ve ever played that’s entirely based in space that isn’t in a space ship. The game comes with 1 weapon, and SMG, and 4 grenades.
The grenades include ‘ice’ (smoke bomb), EMP (disables suit), and MPA (explosion), all of which are balanced.

Such as the ice bomb blocks your sight of the enemy and the radar, but it helps you find cover before they can find you.

The EMP disables the suit of anyone around it and constricts their movement, but they can still shoot you at full speed.

The MPA is a very small but powerful blast of explosion and can either kill your enemies or knock them far away.

The SMG is very limited to what it can do, the Devs of the game stated that the only reason they made one weapon (on release) is because of balance and realism. The gun has a very shaky scope when in mid air, but when you latch on to a surface it stabilizes. When you are scoped in, it fires 10 rounds per shot (out of 60) and it delivers a big piece of damage to your opponents.

Speaking of latching on to surfaces, you can press shift or F to start going down to a surface or forcefully turn to get on the surface. It turns of your jet light and your scope is more steady and it’s easier to snipe with. You can also walk on walls if you flip fast enough while staying latched on, which is perfect for camping at a flag.
This game is beautiful. Just look at these pictures.

Silent Running mode is super fun, you can go around un-noticed and slash open people’s suits without them hearing you. USUALLY you wouldn’t be able to hear anything besides your heart beat and breath, but there’s a bug in the new version where you can hear your gun shots and grenade shots very clearly. Which kinda ruins it for me, but meh.
I only played on Skirmish and 1 map for this review, because I don’t have enough time or effort to write a any longer review. I hope you want to buy this game! Because you know, you will probably never ever go into space in your life!

So I became a garrysmod.com admin, which is pretty sweet, but also at the same time pretty annoying. The community always submits stuff like “hwo do u get fps in cornr?” as articles, and are completely oblivious to the words “submit article“. Then again, it’s always fun to read them and laugh at their complete lack of intelligence. There are also some good articles, but for the most part us gmod.com admins write the articles (we haven’t lately but we are waiting for a long break, IE Xmas break, more stuff is released during the summer and winter, apparently.)

And on that note, I had to become friends with all the gmod.com admins on MSN/Steam. When I first became a admin I requested they gave me their email addresses/steam usernames, all but one gave me theirs, Dlaor . I mostly talk to Icemaz/Benji/Nori seeing as they are the ones that are always on, unlike  Zuim or Freakie. Not going to complain about any of the admins, seeing as they are all nice (except goddamn Dlaor won’t give me his MSN).

Speaking of Benji, me and him played some of that Left 4 Dead 2 Demo.

Lots of zombie killing fun, lots. I also played some with andersonmat and that was fun. Me and Benji both had him on our friends list so it was pure coincidence that he joined Benji’s game!

Been testing Sony Vegas, confusing interface but it gets the job done. (warning, boring video)

This’ll somewhat help when it comes to making a incomplete machinima me and andersonmat are making. More news on that sometime soon. Even though anderson is a professional editor, this gives me a chance to do the rough editing with the footage I take as test footage. His computer is much better at recording than mine (16 gb of ram!), so that leaves me with some open positions.

mm3guy permabanned himself on the forums and left the gmod.com team. That really made me sad because he was a nice guy. But then a few days after he made about 85% of facepunch’s active user’s avatars David Hasselhoff (Including mine!). Afterwords, garry changed the main facepunch logo to… what else, but David Hasselhoff. But now it’s just annoying. Bleh. Things change.

Does anyone of my 0 readers want a google voice or Brizzly, or TypeKit invite? 3 GVoice invites, 5 Brizzly invites, and 5 typekit invites.

And now I go off listening to more music.

I’m gonna start updating this more often. I need to do something with the site… so I added a new theme and now here I am writing a blog post. Tomorrow I’ll make a post about something random, like gaming or something.

Personally, I hate school. It’s just my thing. Sure, some teachers are nice and I turn in all my homework (now at least ;D) but still, it’s annoying. They teach you the same thing every day. I hardly learn at all, only go over stuff. All the kids at my school don’t give one piece of their mind to school, all they think about it soccer.

Man I wish I had photoshop here…

Okay, I admit it. I don’t blog much. But when I do, I don’t stop typing :p
Anyway, I’ve been keeping busy with school and Photoshop.  I have found many tutorials, and one of my favorite ones are the 3D text one.

I’ve been cutting down on gaming. My steam community rating is now a 5. Probably because my graphics card is dying already. Left 4 Dead just is unbarable. I love the game and all, but you would like to have a max of 15 frames persecond?
I don’t. Trust me, it sucks.
So, I’ve just been screwing around in photoshop. Yeah.
